BMW Diamond Head Key Initilization

  • Close all doors.
  • Turn ignition switch to the Accessory position, and then turn it off again within 5 seconds.
  • Within 30 seconds of turning the ignition switch to "off".
  • Press and hold down the unlock button (button with the up arrow marking).
  • While holding down the unlock button, depress and release the lock button (button with the BMW® logo) three times (within 10 seconds of depressing the unlock button).
  • Release the unlock button.
  • The LED in the key will flash momentarily.
  • The Lock Module will immediately lock and unlock the doors signaling a successful initialization.
  • Without turning the ignition on again, repeat steps 3 through 5 for additional transmitters (up to four transmitters can be initialized to one receiver).
  • Switching the ignition to Accessory completes the initialization.
