Mercedes Benz IR Remote Key Synchronizing

SYNCHRONIZING TRANSMISSION SIGNAL OF REMOTE CONTROL
If the vehicle cannot be locked or unlocked it may be necessary to synchronize the lock system.
Point the IR transmitter window (a) toward the receiver in the interior rearview mirror.
Press button (b) momentarily twice.
Turn key in steering lock to position "2" within the next 30 seconds.
The remote control should once again be operational
